The Chequers Inn

We had a lovely stay at Chequers Inn the staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast & evening menus were great & all the food was lovely. The bedroom was large as well as the bathroom the little touches of supplies in the bathroom were great, as was the lovely biscuits & tea supplies in the bedroom.

Lovely country pub, cute rooms, clean, has tea and coffee and lots of little bits you need. We had a lovely stay.

Rural location was good and views from our room

Noisy; dated furniture: safe was locked shut; only one relaxing chair for 2 occupants; dangerous staircase to room; car park in very poor condition (deep pot holes too)!

Not very comfortable bed or pillows. Not cleaned to detail but a quick one which isn’t very hygienic.
