Hotel Ideon

My friends and myself first stayed here in 2011. The hotel was nothing special, from what I recall, but was clean and well run and we had a very pleasant week's stay. Situated on the edge of the old town, it was the in perfect location for us, not liking noisy venues. We made a return visit this September after seeing that the hotel had been refurbished. What a change! It's rated 3☆, but the rooms now are fabulous and would do credit to a 4 or 5☆ hotel. There is a small pool but no other facilities, which I assume accounts for the star rating ( no spa or gym, for example). The restaurant area was clean with the usual selection that you'd expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. On our arrival we mentioned that we'd previously stayed with them. On returning to the room that evening we found a gift box with some pastries, dried figs and a small bottle of Lyraki, which is the local raki (tsikoudia) mixed with honey. On departure we also received a cotton "Hotel Ideon" shopping bag together with a small tin of local olive oil. It's touches like these that make a stay memorable. We plan to return.

Situation parfaite pour des activités chopping. Personnel très agréable.

La chambre à l'étage sans ascenseur et mal isolée. On entendait les gens marcher au dessus. Prix des consommations élevé.

Das wir uns Pflanzlich ernähren und nicht ausreichende Auswahl gab . Tip.: Mann kann schmackhaft lecker essen vorbereiten nicht als vegan betitelnd und so entsteht bei keinem das Gefühl das ist für vegane ich esse es nicht oder das ist nicht vegan sondern es ist einfach eine leckere Mahlzeit oder es ist was für mich oder nicht . Und wenn es lecker interessant raffiniert macht kommt allen zu Gute y .

Nous séjournons régulièrement à Réthymnon et c'est la première fois que nous réservons à l'hôtel IDEON. Nous avons adoré l'hôtel, il est situé au centre ville historique et pourtant il est parfaitement au calme et d'une taille humaine. Tout est neuf, chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. les parties communes sont très bien dimensionnées et très accueillantes. Le personnel est pro et sympathique disponible si besoin. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le coupon de réduction pour découvrir le restaurant de l'hôtel. Le restaurant est très bien situé avec vue sur mer et suffisamment de place entre chaque table très cocooning. Les plats sont délicieux certainement le meilleur restaurant que nous avons découvert pendant notre séjour en Crête pour un prix raisonnable. Nous envisageons de revenir dans ce magnifique hôtel et de prendre une formule demi-pension. Une suggestion concernant le petit-déjeuner nous aurions préférer avoir un jus d'orange frais plutôt qu'une boisson au gout d'orange.

We like to drink tea in the morning , but the Akbar tea bags are not a good taste unfortunately, so we had coffee instead !
