Residence Inn by Marriott Greenville Downtown

Great team! Nothing was a problem !

We stayed at the Residence Inn Greenville Downtown last month for a weekend getaway. This hotel seemed new and was definitely one of the nicest Residence Inns we’ve stayed at. However, the best part was the staff. When we checked in, a young lady named Kelcee, with a huge smile, said, “Welcome, we’ve been expecting you all morning!” Really?? I mean, my husband is a Silver Elite member, and I don’t remember receiving such a warm welcome too often at five-star resorts, even when I was a Platinum Elite member. She cheerfully explained all the amenities and seemed to genuinely love her job and meeting people. The hotel is nice, but what makes a hotel special is the people working there. Kelcee definitely made this hotel very special. (P.S. I wouldn’t have remembered her name since that was the only time I saw her, but she left two bottles of water and a pack of Twizzlers with a sweet note in the room. Nice.)

Have stayed several times at this property. Classy, comfortable, clean and the BEST free breakfast hands down.

We were celebrating out anniversary and it exactly what we needed.

Beyond impressed and so amazed by this hotel and their incredible staff!!! I took 11 of my girlfriends to Greenville for my 50th birthday and we stayed at this fabulous hotel! I’ve stayed here many times and as always the rooms are clean, comfortable and have all the amenities I need in a hotel. The grounds are expertly maintained and I love finishing a long day at the pool or on the patio surrounded by the most gorgeous foliage! This trip the hotel staff outdid themselves! I walked into the lobby where the walkway was lined with balloons and the staff was singing Happy Birthday. The general manager then led me to their pool deck where they had roped off a VIP area for us all to use for the entire 3 day weekend. If that wasn’t enough he then told me that each day they’d have something special planned up by each team for us in that same area! We had an appetizer/wine night, a Mimosa morning and a banana pudding dessert! This is southern charm at its finest. Housekeeping greeted me with champagne and my room was decorated with flowers, balloons, my favorite snack and they even organized a scavenger hunt for my friends. I have always had great experiences staying at this hotel but this was just above and beyond! I felt so special and so loved. You must stay here and experience southern charm at its finest!

I was shocked that the front desk had zero efforts in making our stay a good one when I notified them about the TV not working. There was no apology or effort made-one guy blamed housekeeping (how is this their fault?) and the other guy said they would have to fix it later…..The valet was backed up and we had issues getting in….. the bathroom was not stocked properly. I expect more for what we paid for this room

The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. Location is great and within walking distance to Main Street / downtown.
