The host was great; and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good Internet, too.

The ice machine was out of service.

This is a good motel hiding its light. The room we booked (king bed) is large, comfortable and well furnished. And I love that they use real mugs and glasses, not paper and plastic. It's comfortable and the host is friendly. And I was thrown back to my teenage years by the joss stick burning at reception: such a welcoming smell. If you stay here, you get 80s comfort: it feels relaxed, not plastic-modern. You also get a fridge, microwave, aircon and space. We loved it.

Nice lady running the business. They are in the middle of remodeling but was clean nonetheless. Near many of the attractions and local food spots.

The hotel is ok for the price. The desk person was very nice. The hotel is in need of a lot of work. It is old. There is not much activity for the rooms so when we tuned on the air the room was damp. It seems they are trying to get things going, but there is a lot of work to be done. If you need a inexpensive place to spend the night it will do.

Had a place to sleep.

Very hot. Not only the room but outside the room in the halls. I was surprised that there was a $30 fee for dogs to stay which wasn't mentioned on booking.com. had a very uncomfortable night, room didn't cool down at all.

The curtains were torn about 4 pleats down, and they had to come in and safety pin them together. The bathtub would not hold water so you couldn’t take a bath had to be his shower. There was no hairdryer in the room  as advertised, however, I did call the front desk and they brought one. Same thing with Kleenex. When I made the coffee, had to move the whole thing to a place that was had a plug that was accessible and then there weren’t any stir sticks. The room was clean, however, it was not ready rented small things, but irritating. 

This motel was excellent in my opinion. It should be rated a 4-star motel at the very least. The two queen beds were clean, warm and comfortable as was the entire room. The host took us to the room, turned on the a/c and turned down the beds, something I have never experienced before. Perfect accommodations I would say. Great quiet location on the highway and just two blocks from Dorothy's House from the Wizard of Oz. Did I mention that, like an idiot, I somehow dropped my cell phone, and it went under the bed and I didn't realize it was missing out of my bag until I was 435 miles away? I called the front desk, and they mailed me the phone at no cost to me. Now that is the best of customer service. I would not hesitate to stay there again and recommend the Hometown Inn by Oyo motel very highly and most completely.
