Moxy Edinburgh Airport

Good location, very clean

The shower didn't drain, we had to scoop water out of the bottom of the tray with the tea mugs so wasn't ideal when getting an early flight!

I have come across Moxy by accident when traveling through Poland - so I knew a few things from there that I was prepared for, but also expecting here as well: So, I knew the parking isn't free but that wasn't a problem this time since we dropped off the car shortly after check in, since it's literally across the street from the airport and the car rental return area - during my first visit to Moxy in Poznan I was negatively surprised by the lack of free parking so make sure you are aware of this and return the car in the morning, perhaps it's better to do what we did... Now, what brought me back is the decent standard Moxy provides, their interior in the lobby and the whole character of this chain - it may not be for everyone but I enjoy it, it's unusual filled with colors, silly art etc. makes you feel like you aren't at "yet another boring hotel" The complimentary coffee in the morning from the espresso machine is a nice thing as well, something I remember from Poznan airport and their Moxy. Neither time we tried the breakfast because we had early departures the next day but both times the setup looked similarly inviting. Rooms were almost identical, it's almost funny to think of that since the 2 experiences were about 6 months apart and completely 2 different countries, but that's exactly what you expect when you book with a particular chain - the same standard, the same lay out etc. - something that brought me here and definitely will in the future if I need an overnight stay in EDI airport area - perfect for early departures/late arrivals for sure! I have no pictures to share as I was exhausted by the time we arrived really late due to our car ferry schedule changes but look up any other Moxy, or even the one I have review in Ponzan and there you go :)

Closeness to airport

Mediocre overpriced food. Stuffy room. AC not cool enough. Small, very uncomfortable bed, annoying lighting around bed which lit up when you went to the loo but stayed on for ages. Premium price, Travel Lodge quality

Excellent location, just a short walk from the airport terminal. Nice, comfortable room. We especially liked the large, high-quality TV with its ambient backlighting. The on-site restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast before checkout. Friendly staff, and overall a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again.
