Zapote Tree Inn

The location on the peninsula was great- quieter than being on the island and close to other interesting sites like the recently discovered Mayan ruins than are now being excavated. It was perfect for relaxing. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were available on site and there were also a couple of other restaurants close by.

amazing stay, the hotel is beautiful. Staff are incredible nice, they give good informations about the area and they are available every time if you have questions. The room is clean and nice, bathroom is very nice as well. They provide breakfast, lunch or dinner for extra. Food is good and for a reasonable price. There are fridges in the kitchen area where you can take what you want for extra as well, pretty cheap. The rooftop terrace is calm. swimming pool is clean and refreshing. After check out you can leave the luggages and stay the day at the pool which is amazing. Highly recommend this hotel

The staff were absolutely incredible, going above and beyond. It's clear they work very hard, and we appreciate everything they did for us. They were always willing to answer our questions and were patient with our terrible Spanish. Eric especially worked very hard and was very gracious.

It was a bit of a pain needing to get a boat ride back and forth to the mainland, costing about 10Q/person each way. If you leave frequently, that definitely adds up.

Tolle Anlage mit viel Grün gegenüber Flores. Transport ist kein Problem, da man nach einer WhatsApp Nachricht zügig abgeholt wird. Leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Nettes Personal bei dem man auch Touren in die Umgebung (z.B. Tikal) buchen kann.

Sehr hellhörig. Hunde, Güggel, Brüllaffen und Parylärm sind die ganze Nacht gut zu hören.

GREAT FOR NATURE LOVERS AND FAMILIES. We were there with a 4 and 6 yr old. We enjoyed having Mogli (dog) lead us on the trails/road behind Zapote. So much to explore on this side! Ruins being unearthed, great swimming beach, Mirador, a few restaurants and tiendas for snacks etc. Pool just rught to cool off in. Trees all around. Hammocks on rooftop patio. Feels more local on this side. In main shopping area with 2 tiendas there is a guys who makes yummy burritos etc in the evening (5Q each). Way better than Flores for us. (Which is also under water right now all around the perimeter, noisier and hotter as it takes a while for the concrete to cool in the evening). Getting a ride back and forth takes 5 mins, is fun and costs only 10Q each. Initial ride to and and final from Zapote free. Hosts only need 10 mins notice and can give ride/pick up. Erick and Noelle are Guatemalan, super nice and really hustle for their guests. Bed might be a bit firmer for some. Air conditioning and fans in the room. No kitchen but tasty breakfast for 50Q. Some days we split it, good size.

Bad war nicht top, klein Spiegel weit entfernt, Dusche nur kalt und wenig Wasser. Mückennetze nicht sehr effizient.

Mi è piaciuto tutto, struttura gestita benissimo dai proprietari più gentili e disponibili che abbiamo avuto il piacere di incontrare. Fare colazione circondata da colibrì con la vista sul lago è una delle immagini più belle che mi porto a casa da questo viaggio. Capisco che la posizione al di là di Flores possa far desistere ma in realtà con la barca che hanno a disposizione si è sempre liberi di andare e venire godendo così di una vista su Flores incredibile. Anche la cucina ci ha colpito molto, buonissima!
