Icon Park Hotel Chiang Mai

The location is good, right outside the square on the north side and easily accessibility walking to a nearby temple and also to Chiang Mai old town square. It is also a short stop away from the best mango sticky rice!!! Since public transportation in Chiang Mai is not as developed, even from 10 years ago the last time I came, we really appreciated how there's a car drive in for drop offs by Grab or taxi in front of the hotel! It allows for ease of access. The lobby always smelled like a certain amazing tea smell, the bed was supremely comfortable and the black out curtains were a nice touch as well. We were offered a quieter room and also the front desk girl said they automatically upgraded our room to a bigger room! Really appreciate that because there was definitely so much space to walk around. Umbrellas were available upon request for use during the day, since Thailand weather can be unpredictable! All in all, good value for money.

The bathroom does have a strong sewage smell, but keeping the door closed solved this problem. So for people with sensitivity to smells, maybe choose another hotel or just keep the door closed throughout the day and night.
