Distance to the sea

Unfortunately, and as always, photos are misleading, and you end up paying over 400$ for a night, the price you pay for 5 Star Hotel in Nice, for a 3 star apartment worthing exactly the half. The photos don't show real views....

The apartment was well located within the busy area of the old town, the port was within walking distance and the beach was a stone throw away. There was also great access to buses, trams and trains. The apartment was so clean and decorated very quirky. It was exactly how the pictures were advertised. Plenty of space for a couple. All facilities were included, including beach towels. The staff was really friendly upon arrival and super quick in accessing the property. Lovely view of the old town. The stair case up to the apartment is stunning!

Our only qualm was the shower head didn’t stay up properly however this is easily fixed and we just wedged it in place.

We received a warm and friendly welcome to this incredible property and were assured that if we had any questions, lovely Madame Vallet would be there to help. The location was perfect. It is just across the street from the opera and the Promenade des Anglais. We were able to easily walk everywhere we needed to go. The roomy studio apartment was very charmingly decorated with beautiful original paintings and the room was clean & comfortable. We enjoyed the large windows & high ceilings which made the space feel quite large and airy. Despite the hot weather, we never needed to use the air conditioner. The kitchen had everything we needed and nearly every morning we visited the market just outside for fresh fruits, bread and pastries. We never did figure out how the television works, but I know if we had asked for help, we would have gotten it. It was relaxing not being able to watch the news. Having a view of the lively old town against the backdrop of mountains was much better than television! The building itself is magnificent. There is an elevator but the staircase is so dramatic I had to walk. It has a light, happy atmosphere. We would absolutely stay here again. Because it is a pedestrian area, please be aware that you will be dropped off just a short walk away, not in front of the door. Don't worry. It's only a few steps and it's well worth it! As it's on a pedestrian street, it isn't easy for a taxi or car service to find you. We found it easier to roll the suitcases around the corner to the main road be picked up for our ride to the airport. Now we know--and you know--so next time it will be simple!

The location of the property is the main plus point

The apartment is in dire need of renovation - shabby paintwork, plaster coming off walls and some evidence of water intrusion. The beds were not comfortable and the window shutters were too shabby to be of any use as a form of curtain.

The location is unbeatable. Being located in the heart of the Nice old town on the main reataurant street 50 meters from the beach can’t get much better. The room was gorgeous, spacious and clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We just loved every minute we spent there.

The location is very good

Apart from an excellent location, everything else about our stay in this property was awful. First the apartment we were given looks NOTHING like the one in the photo. The owner was very difficult to get hold of. She was 1 hour late for check in. The Wi-Fi didn’t work all week despite someone coming to ‘fix it’. We were given old crusty white towels and there was stained bedsheets. The beds were tiny and of poor quality. The wind rattled the shutters all night most nights and the neighbors were very noisy.Such a waste of money and so disappointing!
