The Lord Nelson

Breakfast was good and piping hot. There was free parking at the rear of the Lord Nelson which was a bonus and we could come and go as we wished. Centrally placed in an ideal position.

First morning found we couldn't use the shower- heat setting jammed on scalding hot. Had to make do with a strip wash. Complained at breakfast and were given a different room when we returned in the afternoon. Much bigger room and the shower was excellent. If we'd been given this room in the first place we would have given 10 out of 10.

Friendly staff

Overall the Lord Nelson is a nice place to stay, however our room was directly above the Karaoke so there was no chance of getting any shut eye before 0100hrs. It was quite entertaining listening to the passing crowds outside falling out and having lovers tiffs.

The staff were great.

They do not serve food on Mondays, and they don't serve breakfast till 9 am bang goes the early start.

Had a great stay , staff was very welcoming and friendly We had a twin room ,which was nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable ., tea and coffee were also provided , we did have lunch and breakfast in the pub restaurant which was very nice . Definitely would stay again .

Unfriendly check in. No wifi in room, no meal at night only before 6pm. B/fast no choice or menu, no cereal. Did they want our custom. Brigg worth a visit

Extremely hospitable hosts, great central location in this attractive market town.

My only disappointment was that breakfast was served later than I would have liked - 9am - but there are other cafés nearby for early birds like me!
