Simply excellent!

This is a wonderful place to stay in that it is right on the doorstep of Bamburgh Castle. I am sure that anyone staying here would benefit from its prime location

We visited Bamburgh as it was our wedding anniversary for a few days break. We met Mark our host who was very welcoming and friendly, also he cooked us the best high quality breakfast nothing was to much trouble for him .It's the perfect spot to stay very easy to travel to holy island from here and great views of the castle

This is a lovely, charming property in a lovely part of the world. The rooms were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The host was lovely and cooked breakfast daily to specification. I cannot fault any of this. However, the property is in need of maintenance and modernisation. The door handle to our room was broken and we only had one set of keys and the door could not be unlocked from inside. This meant that if one of us went out then we had to leave the door unlocked (in case of fire etc) but couldn't even close it properly. The towel rail in the bathroom was hanging off the wall and the shower was an overhead, rain style shower meaning I couldn't shower and keep my hair dry. Also, the TV was very small and we could not cast to it. In a location with nothing to do in the evenings, I would expect a better TV. Finally the WIFI was poor, we could use it to browse the web but little else, even the TV lost connection regularly. This is a lovely property with a lovely host but do be aware that there is little to do in the evenings, even if you choose to stay in and watch TV.
