White's City Cavern Inn

Room was spacious & cool when we arrived. There was a fridge & microwave which was nice. Breakfast was light, cereal, fruit & pkg muffins. Coffee & milk, no juice. Quiet room & area. Ice machine was close to our room.

It’s what you’d expect from the area. Nothing to write home about but felt really safe and did the trick for a stopping point to see the caverns on our way through to Utah. I can see how others feel it’s run down, but the price and convenience were worth it.

Pet friendly and convenient to visit the caverns. Motel style parking in front of or near room. Pool was nice but there was a lot of bird droppings on all the chairs and tables around it. Room was clean and comfortable. Office staff was friendly and helpful.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon. The pool was open but had so much bird poop all over the tables and chairs that they were not really usable. The splash pad was closed. We had a rather large cockroach in the bathroom and a cricket or two the were in the room. The staff was nice and the beds were comfortable. The property shows its age.

Pool is open until 10pm. Friendly staff. Kid friendly place. Short scenic drive to Carlsbad national park. About 15 minutes from town. Restaurant next door is good, but a limited menu. Over priced. Gas station across the way. I would stay again.

Just outside of carlsbad caverns but no food facilities for twenty miles in the town of carlsbad

Clean, modern, and comfortable, with friendly staff. This is a great place to stay if you're going to Carlsbad Caverns.

If you are going to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, this location is perfect. Close, convenient, and clean. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The pool is available but the slides are only open on the weekend. That wasn't a big deal for us, but just including it in the review for others to know. I would definitely recommend staying in this location. There is a restaurant across the way called the Cactus Cafe.....they have EXCELLENT hamburgers, local craft beers, mainstream beers, and good old soda. There is also a gas station across the way. Everything you need.

Our check-in process wasn't as great as it could be. The older woman who checked us in was rude and seemed irritated that we were bothering her. Maybe she was just having a bad day but we weren't having the best day, either and had been looking forward to staying that your, cute quirky hotel. The front desk lady spoiled the magic for us. The saving grace is the rest of the staff was phenomenal and we will definitely stay the next time we are in the Carlsbad area.
