Villa Del Poeta

Our host was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and so many choices including gluten free options. It felt very homey. Room was very large with comfortable beds. Quiet home. Parking on the street was easy. Walking into city center was easy and felt safe. It took about 10 minutes. Driving in and out of Sulmona from this area was direct and quick to all locations for day trips.

Had to carry bags up 2 flights of stairs. No elevators. Entryway was dark inside foyer until you knew where light switch was. An automatic light would have been useful for us..

Our host Maria was exceptional in providing the very best in customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and having all day access to her wonderful homemade cakes and biscuits was a bonus. The location was good for us and the street was quiet enhanced by the double glazing.

The shower was a little small for me.

Nice, quite and relaxing area and close to Sulmona. Garden with flowers where you can enjoy life. Everything very clean, big room and bathroom. And not to forget - Maria. She is so welcoming and helpful and does everything to make you feel comfortable. Since the bus to the train station did not show up sunday morning at 8.00am, she picked me up at the bus stop and drove me to the train station. Thank you again, Maria for a lovely stay. You are amazing.

Maria Theresa is an exceptional host. Breakfasts are self-made by her. Stay is in a cosy traditional Italian villa.

Maria Teresa made us feel very welcome, and provided us with a list of recommended restaurants, places to go, details of local buses etc. The room was cool, despite the heat outside. Her breakfast buffet included a massive array of local biscuits and cakes made by her. The B&B is a short, easy walk from the town centre - 10-15 minutes depending how fast you're prepared to walk. It's therefore very quiet.

It's not so much that I didn't like, but a word of warning for the unwary - the bedrooms are on the first floor of the house, and there is no lift. However, the stairs are wide, so you can carry up your luggage with as much ease as its weight allows!
