The Langham Haikou

Junior Suite is of a good size and nice decor. Excellent service from concierge on ground floor to check in on 43 floor. House keeping, staff in restaurants, spa and executive lounge deserves commendation. Good location with a beautiful park across the road and shopping and dining a stone's throw away.

Stayed four nights in January on a business/pleasure trip. Last time I was in Haikou I stayed at the Shangri-La which was excellent but rather far away from the city center. Pulling into the Langham, I was relieved to see it was located in the heart of the city making dinner and late night expeditions very convenient. Hotel property was very nice, and service was good although could be better, I see the young staff is trying so look forward to staying there again.

This is the first time we have stayed in a Langham and it has not let us down. The hotel is centrally located just across the Evergreen park and some blocks away from a shopping area with plenty of dinning places at a walking distance. The taxi to/from the airport costs around 70-80 yuan and to Qilou street around 20 yuan. The hotel looks new and perfectly kept. It is very clean as well in the common areas and in the rooms. The decoration is elegant classic but also contemporary with a touch of sophistication. All the facilities are new and very well maintained. The room we were was very big and well equipped in terms of lighting, TV and domotica.; much better than the average in other hotels of the same category. It was soundproofed and there was no noise at all. The bathroom was also very ample with separated shower and bath, very elegant and with good amenities. The housekeeping service was very efficient and everything used in the room was replenished perfectly. We had an issue with the door lock and it was solved in less than 10 minutes. The place where the breakfast was served had room enough for the occupation of the hotel and was clean and ordered. Even with a high occupation, we did not have the feeling of overcrowded and stress feeling. The food was varied and the on-demand service was fast and efficient with Chinese and Western choices. The high tea in the ground floor was very nice as well. Overall we had a very good experience and actually I cannot find any negative comment for our stay. We stayed in a room facing the city but I would recommend a seaview room because the view at night must be fantastic.
