Bowl Inn

Lovely old pub in a pretty village location. The staff were lovely and friendly.

The room was a little too small and cluttered leaving no surfaces. The bedside lamps were huge. The shower room was small and smelly. We understand this is because the property is old and quirky which is what we like but a bigger room suits us better now we’re of a certain age! Breakfast was ok. I asked for my fried eggs too be turned over but ended up with two cremated eggs! It’s disappointing to think that the chef thought that was acceptable to serve.

The staff were all really friendly & professional. The waiting staff, (especially the two young lads) were extremely friendly. The room looked lovely when we first arrived. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. The bed was firm but very comfortable & then had breakfast the following morning.

The room looked lovely, but on closer inspection the carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed & there was quite a lot of dust on the mirror over the vanity desk. Only minor issues which didn't spoil our time there.

The location was perfect for our return trip North from Cornwall to Manchester. The additional facility of a good car park with a powerful EV charging point was brilliant. Loved the views over the Severn Valley towards the bridges. The restaurant facilities and the selection of food, for Dinner and Breakfast, was very good. The staff were, without exception, lovely and very welcoming. We plan to do the same trip again and will certainly use this hotel.
