Great position to explore. The staff were excellent and there was a great atmosphere in the bar/ restaurant.

Background droning noise woke me up about 5-30am and then couldn't get back to sleep as it was continuous. Very annoying!! Also no window in the room we were in, yes there was opening patio doors, which would have been lovely but they opened onto the beer garden. Not very safe or private. We have stayed here before and everything was fine, so perhaps it is the room we were in that has the issues but they definitely need sorting. I would definitely think twice before booking again. Wouldn't want the same issues.

Lovely old property, excellent food and great friendly staff.

On this occasion we had a noisy radiator and a problem with the shower. We were only there 1 night and they’ve said they’ll get things fixed.

Very convenient location off the M5 to break our journey. Rooms very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good food.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I do not often moan about where I stay but the breakfast was very poor. We had scrambled egg which was overcooked very hard. I asked if we could have toast instead of sourdough but they did not have any bread ! Not everyone likes sourdough as it is very hard. There was no sign of any preserves so I asked if they had any marmalade and the waitress said yes only to come back and say no they did not have any and she would ask chef to order some. Breakfast without toast and marmalade come on !

The accommodation was good, comfy beds and the doors opening out the back were lovely

The breakfast was not nice at all and while the ladies who checked us in were lovely I found the lady who served us breakfast and checked us out to be quite abrupt.

The breakfast was lovely, the room was cosy, shower a great size and a very comfortable bed! Staff were great!

The three nights stay were great although if there was something we did notice, it was the noise from above rooms.
