Casa de Marcelo

Quiet location in a small village community. Hosted by a lovely, helpful couple, Manuel and Dolores, who couldn’t do enough to make our stay an enjoyable experience. The breakfasts were superb! The property is beautifully furnished in a traditional style and has an ambience of quality. The garden and new pool area will further enhance the quality of Casa Marcelo.

There was nothing to dislike!

Great stay in Casa de Marcelo. Lovely place .. we had a junior suite with views out to the lovely garden. It was a shame the weather couldn’t have been better as it rained a bit while we were there . Dolores and Manuel went out of their way to help us with directions to places, parking information and places to eat . Breakfast was a feast of home made cakes and jams and served beautifully. I had a troublesome cough while there and Dolores made her grandmothers special brew for me which really helped. We also had a flat tyre and Manuel sorted out repair with a local garage despite it being a Spanish holiday. Lovely people and we thank them very much.

No where local to eat in evening so we had to drive but we expected that and they have a well equipped kitchen where you can cook , so not a negative.

After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. Dolores cooked us the most amazing meal. We can both say that it was the best meal we had on the Camino. They are wonderful hosts!! The only downside was the weather so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful courtyard but that just gives us a reason to return.

5 km vom Zentrum Padron entfert. Ansonsten alles hervorragend.

We highly recommend Casa de Marcelo. Don Manuel & Doña Dolores attention to details is impeccable. The house and rooms are clean and full of charm.

Ubicación muy buena, a 20 minutos de Santiago y a 30 de muchos sitios de interés. Lo mejor el trato, no pudimos estar más a gusto, los dueños siempre atentos a todo y ofreciendo ayuda para todo. En cuanto al hotel, parecía más un hotel de 5 estrellas, todo perfecto. Volveremos sin duda.
