very average. Also don't appreciate plastic in my eggs.

Staff were friendly and tried to make amends for our poor room with complimentary prosecco in front of the fire. The property looked nice from the outside.

One night stay for my birthday. It was a very disappointing stay. Despite being billed as having a garden view, our view was the inside of a turret. The room was cold, heating wasn't working in the room ..in November. The toilet wasn't effective, then blocked altogether! The food in the restaurant was poor, pub food at best but had luxury hotel prices, but not the quality to back it up.

We were seated very close to other diners in the restaurant when we could have been given more space and privacy

Great setting and and amazing building. Yes its an old building but superbly maintained. Staff where extremely friendly and caring, food was good, room was very good and a very comfy bed. Access is a doddle although they have no lift and stairs are quite steeep (but they do tell you that at the time of booking etc)

We got married there it’s definitely the best place to go and the staff are definitely the best staff at a hotel I have ever been in make you welcome and cannot do enough for u you should be very proud you have a amazing team of staff there
