Toro Cottage

Staff absolutely friendly and amazing spot!

We had a lovely stay at Toro cottage. The location it's excelent far away from the busy streets next to the port, so it actually gets quiet at night time. Being far away from the port, it's very central so it only takes you 15 to 30 mins to drive anywhere around the island. Ray the host it's an AMAZING guy EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and ALWAYS SMILING super interesting guy, really he made our stay so so easy, we owe him so much, without him our stay at nusa penida would not be the same in any way. First day I had the banana pancake for breakkie, I like it with honey and lime, he didn't have lime so I said it was ok and thought about getting some for the next day, obviously I forgot with the busy schedule, but he didn't! The next day he brought it straight away I didn't even need to ask. Cheapest scooter rental in the island, and not the small one like scoopy, a Honda 125cc. Cheapest tours, you book with him from one day to the next and he sends you: the location of the meeting point, transfer if you need it, books everything for you and sends you all the pictures in the end! Hassle free all the way with the company with the fastest boats in Nusa Penida. Everyone in the staff is so friendly, they go above and beyond to make your stay special, he even came and removed a giant spider that was next to our room when we asked for his help. The cleaner everyday will make your bed and clean your room unless you advise them not to, they changed our towels for fresh ones everytime we asked straight away. There's a temple near by so the smells of incense and sounds are great everytime you drive by it! There are restaurants 5 min away, one called kitchen steak with the best fruit juices and another 1 min away that even does free delivery to the cottages from 10am to 10pm with great pizzas when you don't feel like moving from your room!

Nice room 3km up the hill from main harbour.Nice comfy bed and good air con with a nice outside area to sit on and enjoy the complimentary breakfast each morning.They rent good motorbikes and it’s well located to explore rest of island.They organised us a taxi both ways to the harbour and a special mention to Ray the manager guy- so happy,friendly and helpful- a real star

The staff were very professional and helpful and were always available. The staff went above and beyond to help me with anything that I needed such as transportation, booking the snorkeling tour ect. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying at this place and I would return again. Thank you!!

Ray is a really good host!

Airconditioning was not the best, but it was fine

The place is super clean, quiet (not many rooms) and in a nice location. From the cottage you can easily go to the beautiful locations of the island by scooter. Some nice restaurants are also near the cottage. The staff is the best of Indonesia! Friendly and helpful with everything!!

Ray was a wonderful host, always available and helpful. He also recommended some great places to eat and things to do! The atmosphere is great and very relaxing. Cozy houses and the pool is great for cooling off.
