Toro Cottage

I really enjoyed my stay here in Nusa Penida! The room was very spacious and clean. AC worked fine. There is a nice pool situated in the mini jungle of beautiful Bonsai trees with sunbeds to chill after a long day exploring Nusa Penida.🌴 Staff was super nice, very kind and always keen to help! I felt very welcomed there. 😊 Breakfast was simple, but yummi. There are several options you can choose from. Loved the fresh juices! The location was very convinient too, 30min to famous spots such as Kelingking Beach, Broken beach or Angel’s Billabong. You can hire a scooter directly in the property for a really good price. There are few walk-distance warungs in the area (Street Food was my fav!) but to hire a scooter to get around the island is def recommended! The cottages are just near the road, yet in the night it’s very quite and you don’t here any noises (except of the geckos and frogs😄) They also provide taxi services and snorkelling trips. The value for the price is definitely great! I had an amazing time. 😊

The tap in the bathroom was a bit broken. But that was just a little thing. Otherwise everything was great.

Internet was not working.

The staff were exceptional, Yogi was also a massive help and always willing to help. Simple and small breakfast but nice. Aircon worked.

Not really any negatives, only minor things which were fine anyway. We did have a leak in the bathroom from the sink and toilet, but that is most of SE Asian accommodation. The doors had gaps which let a few creepy crawlies in.

Charming little cottage very well located, only 15min away by scooter from the harbor, 15min also from Crystal Bay. Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed. You can rent a scooter on site, if you don’t take it from the harbor directly (which I did as it was more convenient for me, having only a big backpack and no suitcase!). Walking distance from a couple of nice warungs for dinners!

The cottage is immediately by the main road that cross the island from North to South, so very busy street! I was unfortunate to sleep in the cottage 1, directly on the street. Having a very light sleep, it were not the most restful nights! However, I believe the noise may be lesser from the other cottages further away from the street. Breakfast a bit light. In all the B&Bs I stayed in Bali, at the same budget, there was always the choice of one meal and two drinks (hot and cold like water or juice). Here you will get only the meal and one beverage.

The location is a middle way to everything you want to visit during your stay on the west side of the island. It saves some time on those dangerous roads and is definitely a better option than staying in harbour. Bungalows are comfortable and swimming pool is a great addition to chill after surviving your day trips around Nusa Penida. Staff members are super nice and glow with positive energy - they will make you feel welcome.

Rooms could use fresh layer of paint, but that’s mostly all.

Yogi (staff member) was exceptional. The location was great as you can get to sun sets spots on the west of the island and go further west. It’s a short scooter ride to the main harbour. Amazing breakfast with fresh juices

It could do with a bathroom cabinet

Superb cottage value for money! Yogi and his entire staff at cottage are super friendly and helpful... Room,Beddings, towels, bathroom everything was clean.... Locatin is 15 min drive from the harbour you get everything nearby...few restaurants and shops nearby but renting a scooter is recommended... They have scooter on rent as well... Breakfast is limited but good... For me its 10/10 Everything was just perfect and value for money
