Maison Otis

This property was well located in the town of Baie St-Paul but there was no guidance to the "autonomous stay". We had to sneak around the closets to find clean towels for the second day of our stay and no one answered the "urgent line" for help. We would expect room cleaning service for the price paid.

Chambre luxueuse dans un immeuble fantôme. Ma pire expérience en plus de 200 locations. A l'arrivée vers 16h pas de clé disponible comme prévu. Numéro d'urgence pas en fonctionnement. Le support Expédia a réussi à débloqué la situation après ~30 mns. Une personne étrangère a l'établissement est venue nous donner la clé. Pendant notre attente un groupe de 3 personnes est arrivé mais ils n'avaient pas le code d'accès à la réception virtuelle et tournaient en rond depuis un certains temps... Heureusement que nous étions là pour ouvrir la porte... Le lendemain nous découvrons que les options vélo et petit-déjeuner (avec supplément) n'existent plus. 2 robes de chambre avec tâche de sang, une serviette avec traces noires. Pas de service de chambre, pas possibilité de changer les serviettes mouillées. Personnes à qui demander quoi que ce soit... La plupart des photos sur les sites de locations n'existent plus depuis des mois... Tous les habitants de coin sont au courant de cette situation depuis changement propriétaire en 2023... Bref une belle arnaque par rapport au prix payé de 266 euros pour 2 nuits.

Worst hotel ever! Worst 2 night stay ever! Our confirmation said we would receive an email 24 hours before check in giving us an outer door access code (as there is no registration desk). We didn’t get one. We had to get it from a guest who happened to be coming out. We found our key card at the restaurant attached but independent of the hotel. We found toilet paper in the toilet when we entered our room and the toilet would not flush. The maid either had no means of fixing it after the previous guests or she didn’t bother cleaning it. We called the “emergency” phone number 4 times with zero response. The gracious proprietor seemed to have access to the old registration desk so she gave us a new room. However when we returned from dinner, the key card wouldn’t work. Fortunately the restaurant proprietor was still there and recoded it. The next morning we left for breakfast, planning a driving day. After breakfast we returned to our room- the key card again wasn’t functioning and this time the restaurant proprietor wasn’t there (her restaurant was closed for 2days). We called the emergency line again numerous times to no avail. We left for the day without maps and jackets. We came back early hoping to find someone to let us in and luckily the restaurant proprietor was cleaning her place and recoded the key. There had been no maid service. We put all of our belongings in the car before going for dinner for fear we couldn’t get back in. Hotel management still hasn’t responded.

Inhospitable. Finding our room after gaining entry was difficult and inconvenient. A most peculiar layout. A beautiful entry/reception area is unstaffed. A keypad entry at this door would improve things so much. We would never recommend this place to anyone.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre suite très bien aménagée et jolie. C'est un endroit paisible qui favorise le sommeil. La Maison Otis est située en plein coeur de la ville, et tout est donc facilement accessible. Par contre, dans la publicité, il faudrait signaler qu'il n'y a pas d'ascenseur et que les couloirs sont longs pour une personne handicapée. L'absence de réception n'est pas très pratique.

Très bel endroit et très propre

We had a small room and only one chair for the two of us. The place had been nicely decorated but with some flaws. A very large bathroom with no counter. There is a place where a table could be put so that guests can put their wash bags, etc. No desk either. But perfect location. Close to so many art galleries, restaurants, main streets.
