The Parsonage

Lovely property and fab owners. This was far more like a b&b in a beautiful old home with great views rather than a hotel. Owners v v friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious clean and comfortable and whilst parts need refurbishing that would detract from the charm of the property. Def come back!

Welcoming Hosts. Peaceful and with beautiful views from breakfast room over the reservoir. The feel of an old Manor House that has some happy history to it. The grounds were lovely too. I had to contact Expedia and also phone The Parsonage to find out if my booking had been confirmed. Then no further instructions arrived. It would be good to have had some written directions either from Expedia or The Parsonage as the postcode didn't take us there. After driving in and out of Axbridge several times to enquire we did eventually find our way by contacting the hosts courtesy of the Post Office in Axbridge for more instructions and very glad we did. Will know next time!

A great location ( when you can find the hotel) owner lovely and general parts of house in good condition but our room in the attic needed some TLC and had had a leak which wasn’t an issue but cosmetically disappointing. We had numerous cobwebs and spiders and the shower had minimum pressure . The bed was hard and the pillows none existent but linen and towels clean and fresh . Tiny TV but it worked and tea and coffee available on a tray . Breakfast was good but no locks on any doors so anyone can walk in at any time.

Very comfortable stay

I stayed for one night and found the proprietors extremely helpful, considerate and amiable. They went over and above to accommodate my needs. For the money this represented excellent value and I can only say thank you and recommend.

House was dated, parking was available but only really suitable for 4 cars. Beds were too soft, bedroom doors didn’t lock, cobwebs throughout, breakfast ingredients were of a low standard. Place has so much potential but we felt it lacked some love and tlc

lovely and welcoming hosts and a gorgeous place to stay in! We were unable to stay for the breakfast due to a sporting event and our hosts were very accommodating and made us a continental breakfast on a tray for us! Would stay again☺️

A building of character being run by a lovely couple with great personalities

Due to my job I every now and then get five-star service and have stayed in some rather enviable places. However,what is always, always lacking is something of the human touch. That is what you get here, from the moment the door is opened you feel like you are simply part of this fantastic home. Patricia and Rodger were such great hosts and very easy to be around. I'll come here again for them as much as the views, the woods, the gardens and the feel of this rather grand boutique hotel.
