Ripple Reach Apartments

Big rooms, actually a separate bedroom with 4 single beds, AC keeping this part cool and separate living space (no ac by design but you can keep the doors open to the bedroom and close windows) with kitchen, washing machin, dryer (we haven’t tested if it worked but it was in the room) and a fridge!! We used this a lot … for… fruits… superb service from the staff, we were greeted with chocolate milk. Breakfast was omlet with toasts, yogurt and some fruits - good starting point

Not much i can complain about.

The property is great. The host and the two ladies working there are amazing .always with a smile welcoming people . Looking forward to stay there next time too .

The property is located in the older part of Galle, and is about 7 mins drive from Galle Fort. The sea view from the property is very nice. The property manager (Dam) and the two ladies who work there are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast they provided was decent and adequate.

This was by far the worst place I have stayed in. I booked two rooms in the property based on the high reviews and ratings on Booking.com and Google. It was a major disappointment when my party and I checked in. The facilities were old and shabby and in dire need of maintenance. The walls showed water seepage marks, all appliances were old, the utensils and cutlery in the room were far and few and worn out with a layer of grime. The rooms themselves were dusty and towels were threadbare. The AC in one of the rooms stopped working mid-stay. The bathroom in one of the rooms was dismal, more like a closet with unfinished taps, a leaky and old washing machine and hardly any place to stand and shower. The living area in each room was like a furnace with no fan or AC, so we were confined to just the bedroom which had an AC. Overall the place was incredibly run down and absolutely does not match the reviews and ratings. It stood in stark contrast to all other homestays and apartments we booked during our 8 day Sri Lanka trip. The people running the place are doing the best they can with what they have and responded to some of our requests quickly . We provided this same feedback directly to the property manager who said he had heard this from others before and was aware of all the issues we highlighted. In summary, the owner of this property has invested very little in making the place liveable and reflective of the current price. After our stay I am seriously questioning the authenticity of the reviews and ratings for this place.
