Very clean & lovely sitting area for few drinks at night. The rooms are basic but have everything you need really, the shared bathrooms are very clean also. Hot water didn’t work in the showers but not too big of a deal considering how hot the Philippines is. Air con in the room was great also. Great value for money ! We got a private triple room for £15 last minute

Loud street noise all night. Wi fi does not work in room- you have to go to the courtyard.

The staff were such helpful and lovely people! There was quite a few chill out places in the hostel which was really nice and also nice bars around, only a 10 minute walk to the beach.

The room we had was a bit small for 2 of us, there wasn't anywhere to put clothes.

Bed was very comfortable. Owner in Sweden is nice. With a fan on top of the air con the room is cool. Clean.

- Room did not appear on arrival as on booking.com. Photos included of the room were of other areas in the hotel. Number of items listed on booking were missing. - Aircon unit is mounted in front of the toilet behind a wall so doesn't reach the main part of the room. We asked for a fan and was told the room doesn't come with one and told there were no fans by staff. - Private shower could not be described as any more than a water closet. It is a toilet with effectively a bum gun over it with no space to shower and no holder. On attempting to use the shower there was no shower pressure, which on inspection we realised was due to the holes being clogged with mould/ algae. Only cold water not stayed on booking. At this point I went and spoke to the staff who connected me by phone to the owner in Sweden as there was no manager on site or any staff who could deal with the issues. She was extremely apologetic and reasonable to talk to. She arranged for staff to change the shower head and bring a fan. We explained we could not change hotel due to a full day scuba course daily and no available hotels nearby. She offered a refund by way of apology which we had a miscommunication with- I understood it as a partial refund for the room not being up to par. She understood it was for us to leave. This created a stressful time the following day when staff were asking us why we hadn't left yet. We left a day early and this was refunded but we had paid the full amount for the days we stayed. Other let downs - Room is very very very noisy. One wall is immediately on the main road with tuks honking from 5am to midnight. Other wall is backing onto an alleyway where local burn rubbish so always a thick plastic smoke smell in the room. Other wall is right by the communal area where everyone smokes at all hours- so a waft of smoke into the room also. - Pool is not at all as pictured. It has no inbuilt pump/ filter and did not smell chlorinated adequately.

Alongside the road, good location, has nearby cafe and restaurant, helpful staff, 5-8 minutes walk to the beach

Untidy room and bathroom, not safe in going upstairs (if your room is upstairs), untidy and smelly staff (sorry not sorry)

Good location - a 10 min walk to town.

The room is about 1 metre from a busy road so there's a lot of road noise through the night. You definitely need earplugs. Cold water from the showers only.
