The location was good, in a walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The staff was helpful with any questions we had.

Unfortunately there were quite a lot of ants in the room.. and the shower and toilet were not in great shape.

Private rooms were tiny, literally just a bed in a room and no floor space at all. Facilities and common areas were very dusty and dirty. Showers and toilet doors didn’t lock or even close. Only one sink worked. The pool looked murky and gross when we arrived and didn’t improve the entire 3 day stay. There was vomit on the windowsill on day one and wasn’t cleaned our entire stay.

- Nice location. Located along the road to pinagsama beach, near food establishments - Very accommodating staff - Super appreciate that they support Moalboal Animal Welfare. They have a flyer up in their receptionist desk and you can ask how to go to the shelter

I don’t think I’ve ever been at a worse place. For me, a place has to be moderately clean, that’s it. I have never booked something and left upon seeing it in real life but this was just ridiculous. Before arrival I asked online if there is any room left with a private bathroom so that I could potentially upgrade. I received no answer but when I arrived, the receptionist said that they have upgraded me, which I have to pay for, but he doesn’t know how much because the owner is in Sweden and she’s sleeping. When he lead me to the room, it was the noisiest room of my life. Right next to the road with a million tricycles, motorbikes and car passing every minute - but honestly, it’s what you can expect in the Philippines. The private bathroom - well, I wouldn’t say it’s a bathroom. It’s a less than 1m2 place where there’s a toilet with a broken flush and a shower handle. You can hardly make a turn in this place and we have established right away that we’re not showering there, rather in the common bathroom, because I think I’d have to sit on the toilet while showering 😂 the water from the sink is constantly running and can’t be turned off. When I approached the receptionist about that he said he knew but can’t do anything about it. The AC is the typical old school AC which is louder than a spaceship engine but that’s also something that’s a Filipino standard so I expected that. What I didn’t expect is that I’d have to pay extra for this ridiculous room. I asked the receptionist if we could see the room with communal bathroom (the one we originally booked) but he said it was already gone (we arrived literally 10 minutes earlier so he must have given it to anybody without actually confirming the upgrade or the price with me beforehand). The quality of everything there is just sad. One night I would have said okay but 4 nights … Moalboal is filled with places that cost literally $5 per night more and are of way better comfort.

The property was great we really enjoyed our time here. Our bed was so comfy we slept so well every night! The staff were so friendly and helpful.
