It’s a bit off the rail trail, but Peter lets you use his vehicle to go to Waiata for dinner

NZPeter was a very informative welcoming host with great knowledge about the historic homestead and locale. The fresh homemade bread with breakfast was a great touch.
There are minor quirks of a house this old but it is part of the charm
GBIncredible place. Totally exceeded our expectations. Peter & his partner Kako went way past what is expected as a host to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The accomodation is gorgeously renovated and all facilities were clean and worked perfectly. The location is magical, surrounded by peaceful farmland and birdsong, with snowcapped mountains on the horizon. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming and warm people. We appreciated the little touches like the heater being on in both our rooms prior to our arrival, soaps & shampoo laid out on the towels on our beds, the comfiest bed ever, delicious fresh bread in the morning and Peter allowing us to feed his enthusiastic sheep. Thank you.
