"A historical farm homestead."

8.0

An isolated farm homestead built in the 1880s which retains its historical character especially in the lounge. Bathroom down the corridor. I visited in the middle of a Central Otago winter and think the venue would be suitable for some people during summer and warmer seasons. The nearest dining site is the Waipiata Hotel which is a 5 minute drive away and I was impressed by the menu options for such a local farming community social centre. I enjoyed my meal.

"A lovely historic building and experience but was missing some of the finishing touches."

7.0

The host was very friendly and the breakfast provided was great. The beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately there was no wifi password provided and there was only one electric blanket that didn’t work. We stayed in winter so that would have been helpful to have working electric blankets.

Fantastic historical house presented in context with it's era, yet subtly modernized to be warm and set up to meet modern day needs. Excellent friendly host with interesting facts and stories to share. Peter also very kindly gave us the use of his vehicle to get to the local pub for dinner. Yummy fresh home baked bread provided with breakfast.

Wifi system had very limited range.

Great place to stay in Otago. I had loads of fun doing day trips across Otago from here. Peter knows so much about the local area and good hiking, biking and touring routes. Nice quiet rural stay with a lovely farmhouse vibe. Will definitely have to stay again when I’m back in the area.

"Relaxing"

10.0

Such a lovely location. We stayed in a building away from the main house but we went to the house for breakfast in the morning. Peter was a very good host and lent us (together with another two couples staying there) his car to drive into town to have dinner at the pub. Peter made fresh bread for breakfast which was delicious. Wifi was available at the house and surrounds but I'm not sure about where we were staying - we didn't try, we were happy just to soak up the beautiful countyside.

Nothing.

Staying on a farm with friendly sheep. The sunrise was phenomenal.

Breakfast could have used yogurt and fresh fruit
