NZWe were biking the Otago Rail Trail and Peter's place is a further 3 kms off the trail. However it was well worthwhile. A very comfortable and warm lodge set in beautiful surroundings on a working farm. Peter made us feel very welcome and was very friendly and informative. He made vehicles available for people without cars to get to the Waipiata tavern for a great dinner.
NZLocation was rural which was anticipated and quite suitable. Room was a little small and all generally rustic but comfortable enough.
NZPeter gave us a warm welcome. It's an old homestead with lots of character. Our room was smallish but ok and had reading lamps on both sides of the bed (rare these days). Good showers, three toilets. Peter lent us his van to go in to Waipiata for dinner. Memorable setting and stay.

NZNZLovely rural outlook with friendly sheep and a nice breakfast. Loved the historic homestead. Room was clean with a comfortable bed, shower pressure was great.
Very minor - the bathroom didn't have a towel rack or hooks to hang towels and clothing on and no shelf in the shower for shampoo etc.
