The staff went the extra mile to help me prepare printouts and copies for a meeting.

I have been an IHG member for well over a decade. Headed to Minnesota, will stay in IHG. Just left Alabama and stayed in IHG. You get it. The reason is, they meet and typically exceed my expectations. I provide great customer service and when patronizing a service establishment, I expect the same. We were not scheduled to arrive at the hotel until close to midnight. I attempted to check-in online but was unsure if I did so, so I called the hotel while during layover to confirm. The staff member who answered insisted, yes insisted, that she needed my reservation number to look up my information. It wasn’t handy and asked if she could just look it up by my name, which is typical and that I am rewards member. After a bit of persuasion, she said that she could look it up by my name. I was a little irritated but whatever. She said that she did not see my name and that I likely booked at another location in the proximity, and I should call them. I thought that was strange. I then reviewed my reservation, and it reflected that I had called the correct location. I called her right back and before I could finish, she said, oh, I see you here now. You checked in online so I would not have been able to locate you…. Your key is ready. Room was fine and location was good. Three days later, still going great. We explored the town. After noticing that we seemed to be the only people of our color in the town and we went everywhere. I say that to say, we did not feel threatened per se but it could be an indicator of ones views and/or possible biases. Yes I am qualified to say so as I have worked in EEO for over 25 years. We checked out, fine. We were called while at the airport by “M” from the hotel and she said that I left a brand-new dress in the room. I thought, how sweet. She confirmed my contact information and assured my that the supervisor “A” would call me back to discuss shipping etc. From that Sunday – Sunday, I called at least 8 times to speak to Supervisor “A”. M often answered the phone insisting that she left all my messages. I shared my growing frustration, and this essentially equated to poor customer service. During my final call, M answered and insisted that she had been giving “A” my messages. I asked who “A” reported to and she said GM who would be in on Monday. I asked her to share my concerns with GM and ask him to please call me but he never called. There are many things that could surmised but the bottom line is that I am very disappointed, upset and have never been so disregarded by IHG staff. Also never thanked for being an IHG member which stands out. In the end, STILL NO DRESS :( My review was not posted, I received no call or contact. However, a fovorable review that i submitted was posted immediately.

Maid service was substandard. Though he or she took our gratuity, yet they didn’t finish making the bed,dispose of used plastic cups, replenish plastic cups. One towel was fine but the other bath towel was getting too worn to be comfortable for use.

Conveniently located next to I-5 and shopping (Walmart and Fred Meyer). I typically enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Express, but my stay at this location was not very pleasant. Neighbors next door and above were loud and making noise well into the night. And you hear everything on the other side of the walls. It was a rough night for sleep. I wouldn't stay at this location again.
