"Last Holiday Inn Express Visit"

There were lots of hotel rooms available in Dalhart and HIE was twice as expensive as the competition. We booked anyway because we needed a good night's rest and looked forward to a great breakfast. Could not get my IHG account to work, so I booked through Hotels.com. Room was OK, but tawdry - no way to raise or lower the shades, for instance. Breakfast was understocked and there was no help available. Got home and IHG emailed me to tell me I now had duplicate accounts and if I didn't call them I'd lose all my points. Got someone who barely spoke English, she couldn't find my account, ended up losing all my points anyway. She said IHG doesn't have a record of them and I would have to submit the confirmation number from all my past HIE stays. I said if she wouldn't take the time to find my existing account, I would just never stay at an IHG property again. She said, OK, is there anything else I can help you with today? Adios, Holiday Inn Express. I'll miss the breakfasts, but there's always fast food available.

The room need a thorough cleaning, rusty door frames, hair in the bathrooms on bathtub and 2 dead bugs on the floor. Breakfast was goood and surrounding area clean
