Pet friendly two bedroom cosy cottage

Parking a little tricky, such a small street- ok for us in February but with more traffic in Summer months I wouldn’t want to manoeuvre a large vehicle.

Lovely having a wood burner, but the logs provided didn't want to burn at all. Also we couldn't get the downstairs heater to stay on. So first night before we could get more logs a bit chilly.

The locations lovely. The owners were nice before we arrived. It's really such a shame the property was in such a state and they didn't be fair and refund us. We are both unwell after staying here :( actually feel much worse after this "holiday"

We are both very unwell now home, I'm devastated. Sore throat, headaches, exhaustion, short of breath; the moulds made us unwell. I had to visit the Dr- after a "holiday" - more than upset. Area around my child's bed was riddled with black mould. They had to sleep next to black mould for days because the owner refused to refund in full so we could leave and book elsewhere before we were due to travel home. Once I began to feel unwell; we left early. Some holiday! Everywhere in cottage was covered in black mould. Owner said it's "normal for a slate cottage"; it's not; I spoke to people in the village- their homes do not have mould. The owner must ensure this property safe! Filthy dirty throughout, dirty pans, cooker was filthy, floors were, everywhere sadly. Dirty, months worth, needs an extensive deep clean. The owners said it was their cleaner's fault. Whoevers fault it was, it wasn't mine. I needed a break. I paid for a break. The owner said I "should have told them what was dirty" when they replaced the fridge and 'cleaned'. It is not my job to go through every item with a fine-tooth comb and check if it's clean. It wasn't clean after they had "cleaned" it. Fridge didn't work on the first night, wouldn't go cold, I'd got a large shop delivered that night which I'm not sure was still safe as it got warm before the old fridge went freezing cold the next morning and then froze my fridge items. The owners knew the fridge light didn't work and was playing up, but left it like this. They did come up the next day in fairness to them with a new fridge but by this point, my food hadn't been refrigerated properly for a day whilst waiting for the new fridge to get cold too. I left an honest review, owner then responded with insults (and others too). In response to them- I am not a liar. The photos of the mould speak for themselves! These were taken the day we left;...

Love this cottage, it’s so cosy. It’s our second visit and we loved it as much as the first time. We did loads of different walks. 10/10 from us

Immediately on entering the cottage we loved the homely feel and appreciated so much was provided in the kitchen etc. The log fire was fab in the evenings too. The location was amazing, just a few minutes drive up to the mountain to the beautiful waterfall and lake to walk my dog, hike and practice chi gung in a wonderful setting each day, even in January! There were 2 beautiful sunny days we visited Anglesey and explored there. On the wetter days the cottage was so homely we were happy just chilling there, but still managed to get out each day despite the rain! The beds were super comfy , the garden was sweet but sadly in January too chilly to sit out in, however we have booked to return in September so look forward to enjoying it then, the fairy Garden was so sweet too! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a home to home feel stay away. My dog loved it so much I struggled to get her in the car to leave on the last day too! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I was shocked to read a couple of negative reviews on here before coming, I can vouch that these comments in no way represented this lovely holiday home at all during my stay. However I guess as with everything beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if you prefer a cold clinical 5 star hotel / property with no character then this probably isn't for you. It isn't a four in a bed competition to pick out any little thing that isn't to your taste, and possibly an attempt to receive a refund, maybe. If you are prone to excessive ocd, have no respect, not enjoying a homely environment and thrive on complaining then this probably isn't the place to go. Apologies for the rant but it makes me sad when a cottage / home has such heart and soul it makes me sad to read such uncalled for negativity . There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this lovely sweet cottage.

The property was in a beautiful location, easy access with plenty local amenities. Easy access on arrival and plenty of facilities, lovely and cosy! Massive thank you to the very friendly and helpful host!
