Pet friendly two bedroom cosy cottage

The pretty and traditional cottage and garden is located in a quiet and small residential area in a valley, surrounded by hills, trees and a waterfall immediately behind the property. The cottage is charming and is like stepping back in time and feels very welcomng with the large open fireplace which houses a log burner and electric heaters throughout. Behind the cottage there's a narrow lane, leading to a car park which opens up to the most spectacular waterfall and valley scenery, with a couple of ruins and a lake with spectacular scenery along the way. My sister, cousin and myself are in our 60's. I am due a hip operation but I found the climb is slightly uphill, but managable if resting along the way. Would definitely recommend. There is parking over a weekend period immediately next to the cottage but during weekdays the parking area is for school staff but there's additional parking a little way along the road. There are supermarkets etc., a five minute drive from the cottage. The price we paid for a week was very reasonable.

I can't say there is anything I disliked in the property. It's like stepping back in time, which is part of the charm. There's no hot water boiler or central heating in the property, so you have to boil a kettle for water to wash the dishes. There is no hot water for the bathroom hand basin but there's an electric shower in the bathroom and an electric radiator. I feel that more cutlery is needed. Overall the above did not spoil our holiday. We loved the whole experience.

It was situated in amazing and easy to find place..had its own parking.

The sofa could be a little updated as it's not as comfortable to sit on for a long period of time.

The quirkyness , although an old cottage it had everything you needed for a holiday. loved yhe log fire and the peaceful garden area. parking near property was a bonus. Cottage was clean and homely

my husvand struggled a bit with having foot board on bed as he’s 5 10 but i slept like a log all week.

Thank you very much! We had a beautiful stay. The cottage is absolutely lovely. Fascinating, how many space in so a little area is. It's fantastic! The cottage has everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine with included dryer and a little stove for cold evenings. Also there is a smart-TV for streaming Netflix etc.
