Pet friendly two bedroom cosy cottage

Beautiful cottage, comfortable bed, beautiful garden, it was clean, the kitchen had everything we wanted, we will definitely be back

On entering TY Kate it was dark and raining our initial thoughts were that it was a quaint, cosy property, however it struck extremely cold when we entered, you could see your breath. If you are renting property for winter let in December you need warmth and proper functioning heating. It looked like someone had tried to light the fire but it was pretty much out. The radiators were also cold apart from the bathroom. On putting the tap on to fill the kettle we found there was no running water. At this point we contacted the owner to also ask why the water was off and why the radiators aren’t on, to be told they come on in the evening, it was evening. To arrive at a holiday let with no adequate heating, no running water and hair everywhere is not acceptable. We re-lit the fire to try and keep warm, to find the settee and chair covered in animal hair. This was really not acceptable, having to vacuum furniture before being able to sit down also the vacuum had a vast amount of animal hair already in it. On closer inspection of the beds there was also hair which had to be vacuumed. After a really cold and uncomfortable night with still no heating on and not being able to have a hot drink or shower or even flush the toilet, we could bear it no more and decided to leave. We rang the owner and informed her. We were booked to stay for 5 nights. The owner was quite difficult in giving us a fair reimbursement and going on the word of her cleaner than us as tenants.

The location of Ty cozy Kate was great. A 2 minute drive and you’re at zip world. Beautiful walks as you walk out the door. I’ll definitely be coming back. There was a little garden with seating which would be lovely in the summer. A grass area for the dogs too. I loved how cozy the cottage was. Ty Kate had everything you needed. I look forward to coming back. Thank you 😊

Loved the place again , especially the idyllic snowy mountains . Every thing we needed in the cottage.

We were both very ill with flu while we were there which spoiled our break but that was just bad timing . Otherwise the cottage was great .

The host had really done everything possible to make it a cosy cottage (and succeeded). No need to bring own stuff but towels, the inventory is very complete. Very quiet place, that is exactly where I came for. The log burner was great, there were even some logs to start with. Nice garden place behind the cottage. Plenty of space to park my car. Marvellous location, great base to explore North Wales a bit. Also some nice hiking tracks starting right from the front door.
