The family that run the lodge are very welcoming and helped with all our needs. The beds were comfy and the heater in the room made things very warm. The food there was very delicious so be sure to try the restaurant if it’s not booked out.

The male onsen water was a bit smelly. I think it needed flushing out with new water.

the owner was very helpful. I was going to get a shuttle bus and he knew that the bus was not running and arranged alternative transport for my crew. he also arranged to store my bags for the day after checking out whilst I went snow boarding.

We stayed at Hunter Lodge on a whim and we are glad we did. The rooms we booked included a traditional flare but had plenty of power outlets, a television, exceptional heaters, and slightly more western style beds. Even with travelling in a group we had plenty of space in our room for 3 ski bags. Breakfast was a combination of various food items and would vary between traditional Japanese food & western food each morning and no matter what we ate everything was delicious! A traditional onsen was also clean and very user friendly. The lodge owners and their hospitality was unmatched and we couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Delicious food, great location, extremely kind and accomodating hosts, really nice rooms and comfortable beds. It was so great having an onsen each night after a long day skiing. Can't recommend enough! We had such a great stay at Hunter Lodge and will come back if we visit Myoko again.

couldn’t pick us up or drop us off from the station. no vegan options for food.

location was amazing for our thought of being centrally located for the Myoko area ski resorts.
