Great location, good sized rooms, great kitchen/diner/lounge. Lovely clean white bedding and towels. Warm and welcoming. Lots of space, we didn't use most of it. Overall a great place to stay. We arrived on a Thursday so were lucky enough to get free parking right outside the property! Great communication with the owner when needed. Was quiet at night even though it's a busy road opposite the harbour. Great pub nearby, fish and chip shop close and only a few minutes walk (flat!) into town and onto the beach

The cleaning could be better, beds and toilets very clean but showers and window frames need attention. Lots of stairs but that is expected in Whitby. Nothing bad to say about the property itself, generally very comfortable overall

The location is excellent, the bed linen and towels were very clean.

The property is need of TLC and a very good clean. There were cobwebs on the ceiling of the kitchen/dining area, which could easily be hoovered…we did it! The handrails and other paint worked areas like doors around the handles were dirty. We simply wiped them all with a damp cloth (see before and after photos), surely the house keeping team could do this? The 1st floor shower only ran very hot, leaving it unusable. And then the 2nd floor bath/shower leaked into the 1st floor bathroom when draining. Locks on the bathrooms would be beneficial. The cooker hood was greasy with stuck on dust. The extractor didn’t actually work, hence the grease. Some of the placements on the table were unclean and some crockery was also a still dirty. Sand was still on the upstairs sofa and grass on the dining room chairs. Windows were also dirty.

very handy to walk to town, there was everything we required in the kitchen area, two lounge areas gave more space and 3 toilets/bathrooms made things easier for our group of 8.

a little noisy from the boatyard opposite, no toilet paper left in the property on arrival, the cleaners need to start moving furniture as it wasn't clean in the unseen areas.
