Holly Lodge

The house is beautiful with full of treasures, we could feel the history in it in the best way. Fiona is super-friendly, she gave us many tips what to see. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The village itself is also unique, worth to visit.

Holly Lodge is one of the best places we’ve stayed in anywhere. The house is beautiful and full of character. We were lucky enough to have the four poster bedroom which was spacious and the bed was SO comfortable. Slept like a log every night. Breakfast was superb. A selection of cereals with fruit, milk, and yoghurt. Followed by an excellent full Scottish Breakfast with Haggis if you wish. Tea and coffee in abundance and make your own toast at your leisure. Assorted jams including whiskey marmalade which was rather good. There is a relaxed and comfy sun room at your disposal where you can read, think and make a cup of tea. Fiona and Andrew provide a relaxed and homely atmosphere making it a very friendly place. The house is in an excellent position in the centre of Strathpeffer with a 4 minute walk down to the square. Fiona is a tour guide and always has somewhere to suggest you visit or give you help to find places you’re interested in. We thoroughly recommend you stay here if you can when you’re in the area. It’s also excellent value for money. We recommend The Deli on the square for dining. It’s friendly and provides a really good range of meals at a very reasonable price. Visit the Victorian Station which is beautiful and has a dear wee gift shop.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the view from the window was breathtaking.

Beautiful home in a lovely village. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed gorgeous views and a lovely room with a huge breakfast every morning! We used this as our home base and took excursions by car every day. We spent one day exploring Strathpeffer with a nice hike and several historic sites.

It was within walking distance to the little village. There was a lovely family atmosphere in the hotel.
