Kitts Cottage, Redruth, Cosy Cornish Retreat

We absolutely loved our two weeks at Kitts Cottage. It is the perfect retreat: a sweet, cozy cottage where everything is designed for comfort and relaxation. The stove in the living room is wonderful on colder evenings, and the heating in the bedroom is also very appreciated. The bed is extremely comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, and having both a washing machine and tumble dryer was fantastic during a longer stay. The garden is generous and beautiful, with a lovely seating area as well as an additional lounge spot with evening sun. The peace and quiet here are truly special. The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall, with both coasts reachable within about 20–25 minutes. Our dog loved it too. One small thing to note: the road leading to the cottage is quite adventurous. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it may be more difficult with a normal car, and you have to be careful with the hedge branches along the lane as they can scratch the vehicle. We felt incredibly at home here and will definitely return — Cornwall will not let us go anymore. 🖤

tbh there isn’t anything NOT to like about this place, if we didn’t like anything we would not come. Appreciate prices have hiked somewhat since our first stay in 2018 but they are still manageable to ensure we visit.

Beautiful location, large garden, secluded.

No mention of bridle path access, punctured a tyre the first night and had to pay for emergency tyre replacement. No health and safety warning on doorway into living room area. Hit my head and fell backwards into kitchen.

We absolutely loved the wood burner, the bed was super comfy and it was very quiet which we love for a getaway!

We didn’t like how we only had 2 nights to stay, wish we booked more!

Thought tv could be a bit bigger

Great location for anyone wanting to explore Cornwall, very quick trips out to various parts of the coast. Lovely secluded location with lots of outside space and privacy. The fire was very cosy and it was lovely to have had some wood provided which we topped up. It was lovely being able to bring our dog with us.

It’s in need of some maintenance. It was unfortunately very wet when we came and the smell of damp upon entering was very strong. The TV is very very small. The sofas are old fashioned and not particularly comfortable.
