Tina is a lovely, welcoming, friendly lady . The bed was so comfy and breakfast was great .

The stairs are a little precarious if u mobility issues.

Good location for our bike ride. Tina met us in arrival and was very pleasant. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good, tasty and loads of it. It has a bath and shower in a really big bathroom. This place is such good value for what's on offer. Couldn't go wrong with booking this place.

A truly welcoming place to stay. Our host happily made early breakfast for us as we needed to fuel before marathon. Super helpful re local transport as we did not come by car. Very clean and comfortable room with great bed and en suite. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Nothing not to like

Well placed for overnight stop during a longish N to S trip.

Main road was busy and not pleasant for the walk out to find an evening meal.

I recently stayed at this lovely little B&B just outside Ashbourne and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels like a home away from home. The location is wonderfully quaint and peaceful, surrounded by rolling Derbyshire countryside, yet it’s only a short drive into Ashbourne town centre. A big bonus was the off-street parking – no stress about finding a spot after a long day exploring the Peak District. Our room was cosy in the best possible way: spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with traditional touches, and with a very comfortable bed that guaranteed a great night’s sleep. The little extras – quality toiletries, fresh milk for tea, and local biscuits – didn’t go unnoticed. The English breakfast was a real highlight. Perfectly cooked with high-quality local ingredients (the sausages were superb!), piping hot, and generous without being wasteful. It set us up wonderfully for a day of walking. Above all, the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming – warm, knowledgeable about the local area, and happy to recommend walks, pubs, and hidden gems near Ashbourne. Nothing felt like too much trouble. If you’re looking for character, comfort, a great breakfast, and genuine hospitality, don’t hesitate. We’re already planning our return visit.

Quiet in the B&B, warm and comfortable. Kettle in my room which was great as I like to use my hot water bottle. Shower water was lovely and warm. Breakfast was great & options were fantastic.

I had read reviews previous to attending and knew it may be loud at night due to road noise so took my ear plugs & had no problem at all.
