"A Cosy stay"

7.0

This was perfect for a 1 night stay while we was in the area. The owner Tina is a lovely lady and showed us to our room , the bed was cosy there was added extras in the room which was a nice touch. We was in room 2 where we had a field view at the back of the property which was pleasant. The huge bathroom was good and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was amazing too and Tina would make sure to ask if you wanted anymore toast.

There was a few hairs in the bath and the shower on arrival and the view is restricted on the main road so I had to be extremely careful. But saying this that didn't put me off coming to stay here again.

"A little jewel"

10.0

This stay exceeded our expectations on all levels. Tina, the hostess, made us feel really welcome and The Lilacs is a lovely place to stay. Everything that you would expect from a bed and breakfast was provided, plus some thoughtful add ons such as hot water bottles and nibbles in the room. The property also had a space outside where you can sit and look out over the surrounding countryside - we didnt do this as our stay was just an overnight one and the weather wasnt great but we can imagine that in the summer it would be ideal to just sit there for a while and enjoy the peace and solitude. The location was a little out of Ashbourne, which worked for us as we liked the country views. There was a good choice of things to have for breakfast and we can definitely recommend the full English!

There was nothing that we didnt like
