Meranova Guest Inn

Lovely place, with lovely caring management. The room was wonderful. The whole place is like treasure. Very nice restaurants, bars close, and easy parking. I found the place nearby where the optimist saling boat type was born. It's unique for people who sail like me:) Our apartman was also sailer designed. Loved it.

The room was adequate, if a little small. Main Street Dunedin is a raucous place many nights, and the guest House is really right in the middle of it. If you're looking to be in the middle of town with many of the bars, restaurants and gift shops within walking distance, this is your place. They have a nice garden space with chairs, and our room (Garden Suite) had a small veranda attached to sit.

Our "suite" was a studio type of room, with a small countertop containing a bar sink. A drinks refrigerator and a hotplate were stored under the counter, along with a toaster. The bathroom was teeny. The bathroom sink was actually in the main room, it wouldn't fit in the actual bathroom. IMO it shouldn't have been listed as a "suite," a studio apartment would have been accurate. there are bigger, actual suites on the site.

The location was fantastic. Outdoor seating areas were great too.

There isn’t a front desk and staff are only available via text or call. I didn’t expect that with an inn and it changed the vibe to more of an Airbnb. Not a bad thing, just wasn’t expected and no one had mentioned it in reviews.

We stayed at Meranova, Dunedin for one Saturday night. The suite was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. The management were very communicative and let us know by text exactly when the room was ready. The suite is huge with a bedroom, living room, kitchen and patio. The location could not be better, right in the middle of Dunedin, literally within steps of many restaurants and bars. If we are in Dunedin again we will definitely stay at Meranova. Very highly recommended!

We stayed in the cottage. Very nice accommodations, great amenities. Located in the center of activity but yet very quiet.
