B&B A Casa dei Nonni

There was nothing about this accommodation that stood out in a positive sense (see the attached photos)

1) The manager's attitude to guests: The day before my stay I was asked by the property about the time of my arrival. I replied I would arrive on the only available bus from Caltagirone at 8 am. The property didn't reply to this message. I tried to contact it by phone after arriving in Enna but all in vain. It turned out the manager was aware of my phone calls, not picking up and ... counting the calls. I was only at 8.45 that I received a message stating that check-in was only available from 3 PM onwards. In the 8.50 message I explained I didn't need my room so early and only wanted to leave my backpack. At 8.58 I received the following message: 'The rules are clear, and I received 10 calls between 8 and 9 this morning. This is not normal.' In my immediate reply I explained I was tired and not feeling well and it was hard for me to walk around with my luggage. The manager replied 4 and half hours later: ''I'm so sorry for your situation but I'm not in a position to save your day today.' My condition deteriorated on that day and I had to seek medical help. The irony was that even though I had a place to stay (which was already paid for!) , at the time I needed it most (at least to leave my backpack at), I was 'homeless' and had to be helped by strangers. They understood that the name Enna - la citta gentile - obliges them to be kind and supportive, especially of those who need help. Apparently, the property manager understands neither the true meaning of Enna's nickname nor the obligation connected with being part of the HOSPITALITY industry. Instead, she prefers to ignore kindness and empathy if it requires an extra effort on her part and focus entirely on business. The manager of the property - I am in a position to say this - SHAME ON YOU!!

Good location. The host was really friendly!

Cold room. A very hard mattress and the pillows are Really bad.

Fun location off the main piazza, past a lovely antique iron gate that beckons images from days gone by. : ) I stayed in the single room. The cluster of rooms is modern, clean, organized, and the manager is lovely & outgoing!

Très confortable et très propre. Aisément se garer pas trop loin.

Posizione centrale con possibilità dì muoversi liberamente a piedi. Ottima pulizia. Host molto gentile e disponibile per check in/out. A due passi da tutto ciò che possa servire (bar, ristoranti, farmacia, fermata bus, negozi). Spazi interni comodi. Consigliato
