Mabell Guest House

The owners were very welcoming and ensured every need was met. They coordinated transportation from the train to the guest house when we arrived and then to the cruise port. They went beyond expectations by taking us round trip to the city center and providing a way to wash our clothes prior to our cruise. As a bonus, their puppy was so well mannered and fun to play with. It was a very pleasant time. We will definitely recommend and stay again.

We especially enjoyed the warm welcome by "Pupa" the dog. The laundry machine and ample drying racks were also a plus since we were preparing for a 14 day cruise. The decision for staying was based on parking as it is a BIG challenge to find parking in Civitavecchia.

Mario picked us up from train station and took us to cruise terminal for 40euros. He speaks no Englisj.

The facilities were perfect for our family of 6 adults. Everyone had a comfy bed, the bathrooms were modern, spacious, and clean, the outdoor, glass-enclosed veranda was beautiful, and the host, Mabell, was incredible! She ensured our every need was met, and her hospitality was warm and genuine.

We felt really Welcome, Viola was forthcoming and extremely helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better Host.

My host, Mabell, was charming, welcoming and helpful and my room modern, clean and comfortable. Mabell spoke English, which was a great help, since my Italian was a bit rusty! The peaceful location, in the countryside outside Civitavecchia, was perfect for an overnight stay.

Relying on my Satnav, I had exceptional difficulty finding the house, since Booking. com had wrongly given the address as Via Sant'Agostino 7/a, when it was in fact the nearby Strada Sant'Agostino. So, until this error is corrected, future guests beware!
