"Good place to stay for a short break"

The Billycan is in a good location. Close to the town walls and railway station. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. The food in the restaurant was very good. Generous portions.

The room was street facing and the sun shone in most of the day. I found the duvet too heavy and would have preferred a lighter weight quilt. However this is a personal choice. There was a fan in the room, however we did not use it.

Friendly staff… Lovely size rooms & they were spotlessly clean, The location was fab & we finished our weekend with one of the best Sunday lunches around!!
