Rivendell Hotel

Very nice place. The staff was incredible. After checking in the manager, Mr. Thilanka, was really nice and offered us a free dinner. We did not stay for dinner because we wanted to see Kandy but when we returned at around 10pm there was a knock on the door and Mr. Thilanka brought us a big plate of fruit and 3 pieces of cake. It really made us feel welcome. The breakfast was a full and very tasty buffet and we were offered eggs as well. I would highly recommend.

A bit far from Kandy but not expensive to get into town with a TukTuk

We loved everything!! The staff was incredibly friendly and they went above and beyond to help us navigate Kandy. We felt so well taken care of during our stay thanks to all of the employees. The food was delicious and we really felt like we got a taste of local cuisine. The views from the pool deck are otherworldly, with picturesque sunsets over the mountains and up close views of bat migrations. The rooms, however, were by far our favorite part - the big bathroom and the comfortable beds ensured a very relaxing stay.
