Silky Oak Cottage

The cottage was lovely! Love the verandah all the way around the house. The aspect was wonderful, could enjoy the sunshine all day. The fireplace was fabulously cosy. Walking distance to The Brewhouse to enjoy the best pizza's ever!

The tap washers need to be replaced as you had to turn the taps off so hard to stop them from dripping. The water supply stopped a couple of times. Ended up having to ring Unwind, who told us how to restart the pump, which worked. No WiFi to connect to. Couldn't connect our phones to the stereo to play our music thru the speakers.

Location was stunning, completely relaxing

Stayed here before, fully furnished great for group 5-6 people, close to main wineries and attractions.

Place needs to a freshen up, cob webs on ceilings, gardens need a tidy up around house. No wifi at location.

We loved how isolated the property was while being so close to the venues we needed it to be. Beds are very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us.

Definition of rustic charm. Felt like a ‘little house on the prairie’. Loved the knick knacks around the house and property alike. Just ticked the box of that country living fantasy most city people have.

Would probably need aircon in peak of summer. Also apparently there was a pool (said the book) but I had NFI where it was.

The small man made pond outside, attracted a lot of mosquitoes which ventured into the house and attacked us

The environment is pretty good and the facilities are quite complete. This manor would be perfect if you come here in the summer.

There is no Wi-Fi in the accommodation, and the TV is a bit small. There is only one air conditioner in the living room, and the bedroom is quite cold. In fact, it would be nice to have an electric blanket, especially this winter is so cold.

Everything was just great such a wonderful cottage in a great location
