King's Head Inn

Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Good beer. Friendly atmosphere. Has a real community feel to it.

Parking is a bit of a lottery but it’s a small village so maybe that can’t be helped….and we got by. Could do with a few salads on the menu for when you fancy something a bit lighter. TV’s a bit dated. No Chardonnay!!

Kings head inn is perfectly located for 2 beaches and most of the Gower. Superbly dog friendly, comfortable rooms and very social pub, friendly staff and great breakfast. You can also get a lunch Picknick to take out.

The rooms are all clean and tidy and just received a new lick of paint but the furniture while functional is quite dated and could do with a revamp.

The location is excellent and the staff were so friendly. They even let us have a later checkout. The room was large and clean and the breakfast is great.

The only downside was that there was a heatwave and the room was really hot but no fans were available and the angle that the window opened meant there wasn’t much air flow so not much sleep was had. I have stayed before and the weather was such that a fan wasn’t needed.

Location was amazing and the pub itself is fantastic - a real hub.

The only thing was the smoke alarm going off and waking us up on the first night - but it only happened the once and everything else was brilliant.

The room and the bed were spacious and well appointed and even had proper milk for the tea. I loved the landscaping and the way that the trees screened in the courtyard from the rooms opposite. I also loved the sparrows. It felt like the buildings had been barns as the stones were old, but I wasn't sure about that. The breakfast was superb with friendly staff and v.v. good food and service.

Nothing to dislike. Just that in the summer I could see that noise might be an issue. It gets very crowded at that pub.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was good for walking. The meal times were very flexible. Surrounding scenery beautiful.

Further from the beach than expected. The food both breakfast time and evening was cool on occasions and by the time breakfast food arrived the coffee was cold. We paid extra for a sea view but couldn't see the sea from our room because of trees in leaf and misty weather (not the fault of the hotel I suppose).

Classic country / beach location. Pub has lots of character because of it's age and decor. Accommodation was in a pleasant quadrangle with several rooms both upstairs and down. Again built with character and softened by the planting.

It was in a lovely location, the room was well equipped and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and professional.
