"Great hotel in a great location"

10.0

We really enjoyed our stay here, our room was huge and very well equipped with plenty of complimentary tea, coffee and milk plus a fridge. It was also very clean and comfortable with a huge bed. Breakfast was included in the room rate, there was plenty of choice and portions were generous. I had smashed avo and then eggs royale the following day. Both were equally delicious and I was surprised at the amount of smoked salmon I was given - it was unusually large! The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. We ate in the restaurant both nights, the food was excellent and portion sizes generous. The Kings Head is a busy pub and I was initially worried that the room would be noisy but it was incredibly quiet, I didn't even hear the people opposite. The only downside is that the car park was very busy and so we had to park down the road and carry bags up as there wasn't any space. The location is fab, within easy walking diatance of the beach. We did a lovely circular walk over the hill to Rhossilli and then back along the beach. I 'accidentally' booked the Kings Head, I though I was booking somewhere else! However, it was a very happy accident, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.

"Our room was clean and comfortable, large bathroom, nice village and friendly staff"

9.0

We were happy with the facilities and stayed for one night in a row of cottages behind the pub in a lovely village. Our room was clean and warm, the bed was comfortable and had a nice large bathroom. The breakfast was served in the pub which was very nice and staff were very friendly.

"Great hotel/pub but a bit on the expensive side for what is offered"

7.0

Great location a short drive to Rhosili beach. Clean and spacious rooms across the car park from the pub, with the upper rooms having great views. Lovely seating areas outside the pub, again with great views over the bay in the distance. Good and hearty pub meals

Lack of variety with the cold aspects of breakfast - tinned peaches, yoghurt and cereal only. I would expect more for the price/4* ; pastries/croissants, fruit and nuts to add to muesli/yoghurt. No expresso or latte coffee available, tho’ filtered coffee wasn’t bad.
