The breakfast is excellent and the host is very friendly and helpful

We booked two fully equipped apartments, each with a kitchen and a balcony. It was a pleasant experience to spend time on the balcony, where we enjoyed a few drinks. The host provided some croissants, milk, and pastries for breakfast and assisted us with the check-in process. There was free parking available in front of the apartments. However, it's worth noting that there is a €2 tax required by the host upon arrival, which added up to €10 for one night, in addition to the booking.com charges. The checkout time was at 10 o'clock, and all the rooms were air-conditioned, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The host was welcoming and friendly. The upstairs accommodation was new and spotless. The property was behind a high security gate with sufficient parking.

Gate access is awkward but host is available for help. Property is located in poorer area of Matera but we did not feel threatened. You need a car as it is away from main transport.
