Red Squirrel, Stevenston by Marston's Inns

Location was perfect for our needs. Next door to Costa, KFC and others. EV charging on site which was good for us. Room was clean and staff were nice and attentive. Breakfast was good as was the service. All in, we would stay again.

Shower was weak. Breakfast was good, but full works came with uncooked mushroom and tomato. Minor niggle as the rest of the breakfast was good.

The hotel is spotless with good sized rooms and felt safe and quiet. No frills but solid clean basics, which is all I need. Staff were really friendly too. There’s the restaurant and pub too in a separate building so there are options for food and drink. There is also a Costa coffee, Dominos and KFC in the little retail park. It’s a bargain, and I’d stay here again.

I’d rather have no shampoo or soap in the shower than have very watered down soap. The TV was a bit dodgy too. But these are minor things that don’t matter!

There wasn't anything negative. Staff were polite, happy and helpful. Highly recommend the hotel and pub. Good food, discounted if you order when booking.
