The Kresna Hotel

This place has it all: Lovely old building with a garden and comfortable beds and aircon, at great value and within just a short walk of Alun Alun and Taman Sari. There's a local supermarket just around the corner and a money changer across the road. Wifi is good and the staff are super helpful and friendly. Oh, and if you're staying there, you can also borrow one of their bicycles for free. Thoroughly recommended this place.

All good, but you might want to get the staff to spray the room for you in the evening, to ward off mozzies and other bugs.

The environment on the hotel very good. Many plants but very clean.

A few PowerPoints loose at the wall, but very fixable things!

The weird booking system. I thought they charged my credit card but they ended up making me pay by cash on the time of arrival, although it wasn't a reservation for me but someone else. It embarrassed me a lot and I got a problem afterwards. The staff isn't really friendly either when we talked on the phone.

It's hard to.complain. The price was good, everything was clean and comfortable. Great location and good A/C. There's a water dispenser to refill your water bottles. All of the things I consider when booking a hotel. It got the job done for a couple of nights.

Mosquitos in the rooms and in the common area. The hotel could take measures to keep mosquitos away but just doesn't. You will have to pay cash for your room upon arrival. Staff was friendly but did nothing beyond being polite and taking my money. If you're looking for amenities and staff that goes out of its way for you, consider booking elsewhere.
