everything was fine, pretty much as expected. I've given the 4 because the only coffee on offer at breakfast is instant. If you wanted a "proper" coffee, you had to order and pay for it at the bar. It's 2025, the coffee is just as important as the food for breakfast.

Close to amenities. Room ok but needed some maintenance.

Stay was good apart from toiletries not in room and also towels missing for 2 guest

It was a perfect place to stay the room was clean the shower brilliant

Room was ok. Sheet / bath controls rubbish GF foods limited and food came out warm to chilled with zero for presentation One bar staff was helpful

View was terrible but we didn’t stay there for that and the net curtains were pretty anyway lol Quick easy check in and out very friendly staff great for a stop over or commute

We have stayed at the King's Highway several times over the years. I have never before had any complaints, but I don't know if they have changed the mattresses or what, but the mattress was really hard. I know some people prefer a firm mattress, but I am not one of those people. I kept waking up with painful shoulders. There were a few other niggles, but the mattress was the main problem.

Lovely helpful staff, we stayed when it was 30 degrees and they went out of their way to find us a fan for the room. Basic rooms but spacious and clean which is all we needed. The pub is great, loads of parking, good food. Walking distance to Royal Derby hospital so ideal for our needs. Would recommend
